Christina Cullen

Christina has developed her expertise in media and public relations over the last 15 years. With a passion for humanitarian issues and human rights, she has worked for internationally focussed organisations including Amnesty International, Plan International and Prisoners Abroad, and has herself worked on a local, national and international level.

Christina has been The Message Hub's media associate for almost 2 ½ years, where she has been providing media and public relations support to environmental organisations including the Rainforest Alliance, UK Green Building Council and InterClimate Network.

Event Management

From managing a press conference with Archbishop Desmond Tutu at the UN Headquarters in New York, to organising and managing hospitality days at venues such as Goodwood Races, Christina's event management experience is extensive. Whether it is campaign, fundraising or media event, Christina's organisation skills and attention to detail have always ensured their success.

Editorial Experience

Christina has written and ghost-written many articles for the organisations she works for, including opinion pieces, a business column and feature articles. She also writes regular articles for the Rainforest Alliance's UK blog and co-manages their twitter account. Christina has also contributed to the renowned travel guide The Travellers Handbook.

Media Management

Christina specialises in developing and delivering media strategies, writing press releases and supporting media materials, selling-in stories to journalists, organising media interviews and delivering training on how to handle the media. With an extensive contacts list, she regularly places stories in media outlets including the BBC, The Guardian, The Times and many more.

Christina has extensive experience in organising and taking journalists, film crews and photographers on media trips to Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America as part of global media campaigns.
